Terms of Service
Last updated: July 6, 2026
1. Overview
printqr ("we", "us") is a product of Studio 5050 that provides a QR code generation API and an optional Shopify app that automatically generates a QR code when a product is created. By obtaining an API key, subscribing to a paid plan, or installing the Shopify app, you agree to these terms.
2. Accounts & API keys
An API key is issued to you when you subscribe. You're responsible for keeping it confidential — anyone with your key can use your plan's credits. If you believe your key has been compromised, email us and we'll revoke and reissue it.
3. Plans, credits & usage
Paid plans include a monthly allotment of API credits (one credit per QR code generated, whether via a direct API call or the Shopify automation). Credits renew each billing period; unused credits carry over rather than expiring, but running out mid-period means requests are declined until the next renewal or an upgrade. We may introduce reasonable rate limits to keep the service reliable for everyone.
4. Subscriptions & billing
Paid plans are billed as recurring monthly subscriptions through Stripe until cancelled. You authorize us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Shopify app
Installing the printqr Shopify app grants access to your store's product data (to read product details and attach a generated QR code as a product image). See our Privacy Policy for exactly what's accessed and why. Uninstalling the app in your Shopify admin stops the automation and revokes that access.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use printqr to generate QR codes linking to illegal content, phishing, malware, or anything that violates others' rights. Don't attempt to share, resell, or redistribute API access beyond your own use, and don't attempt to circumvent rate limits or credit enforcement.
7. Warranty & liability
printqr is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes are reflected by the "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
